I’m a big soccer fan and i’m always caring and trying to help people.
I love all sorts of music and i’m up for some challenges.
My man & kids are my whole life. So are my animals.
And i got lots of animals. 4 horses, a dog, 3 cats, 2 chicken and a hamster.
If you want crazy fun i’m your girl. My kids often tell me that i’m crazy, their friends think i’m a cool and fun mom.
I’m loud and very extravert and i got a silly sense of humor.
But people who know me know i’m a softie who is very emotional when it comes to caring bout others.
Tell us about your experience with music:
i could sing before i could talk. Music has always been important in my life.
It’s my shrink, my stressrelief. It reflects how i’m feeling. Music heals my soul and heart.
I learned english through music.
I was always to insecure to perform, because of that i passed down a few offers in the past. Which i actually regret but i can’t change the past.
But without music my life would be empty. I’m on smule for about 5,6 years. Omg i’m old. Smule made me a little less insecure.
I love to play with music, and i’m not scared to just sing a song, even if i don’t know it.
I just have my own style. Haha makes it hard to join my open calls sometimes.
So you can always challenge me to a song.
I’ve been active as judge, a contestor in competitions and a leader of CFC and iCON .
What kind of music are you into?
I love all sorts of music. But i really have fun with jazz, postmodern, pop, oldies and some challenges like mashup and stuff.
If you give me a challenge i will always try to make it work.
I suck at harmonies for my feel.
What colors would describe your personality?
Turqoise : it’s a fun crazy color. it isn’t this or it isn’t that. a playfull crazy fun yet calming color
Hobbies?
My first hobbie is singing of course
when i’m not singing i’m with my horses or at soccer.
I also love to cook
But above all that my biggest hobby is my partner, Whahaha

Short background:
Hey I am Catrin or for short – Cat -. When I am not lurking around on smule or elsewhere, I am actually officially a web developer. I am from Hamburg, Germany (that makes me a Hamburger yes delicious) and after a short bit of studying in another city I decided to just come back. Actually I studied twice due to a deep fear of exams and judgment. (Can you see the irony?!) After failing the first time – I did graduate with honors the second time around, which just shows one thing: Giving up is not an option – resilience is what makes you succeed in life! You might get pushed down more than you would like, but as long as you keep standing up you are winning! I think that is what describes me the most. Now i realized it said short background…i am a rebel…
Tell us about your experience with music:
“Evil people know no song” – That is the thing that keeps popping into my head. My mom making me dance right after changing my diapers and me giggling to her cheery singing to the music – mind you not necessarily well and she does not speak English – but she tried and it made me happy. It still does. Me singing, others singing… it brightens up my day just a little bit.I always supported others singing, giving street musicians money aka making my parents poor, but if they share their soul with me, how could i refuse?! When I asked for vocal lessons – I got sent into choirs…choirs and more choirs. The same thing happened when I wanted to learn how to play the saxophone, my favorite instrument to listen to, I got sent into free guitar lessons. Can I play the guitar? NOPE, but I can pretend I do like a champion! I stopped singing for some years after that, not in private, but in public and in groups. Sad moment ladies and gentlemen, but I kept loving karaoke – so I kept going with that from time to time even though my shyness (did you notice?) prevented me for the most part from singing alone. Well except for a few times when helping out in a theater group cause a friend thought I was singing better than the lead role so he made me practice with her and accidentally singing in a subway and my friends collecting money behind my back. But when I found Smule – oooh dear that passion got re-ignited. And now I am here, growing and learning every day! And of course also judging – so far in SHV Season 1, ESCAPE – where i came up with the puzzles and VB. Judging made me understand music even better and taught me new songs that broadened my horizon. Generally though, singing was never about perfection to me, it was about happiness and expressing myself. Basically just having fun.
What kind of music are you into?
While I do love a lot of songs, I got secret passions . Soul, Motown, Funk, Blues and Jazz make my heart beat just a little faster than any other genres do. Give me smooth and I am melting. Nothing beats a classic! But i tend to go for acoustic versions and anything that is different than normal…like PMJ or Jazz versions of popular songs. But I also enjoy a bit of bravado, don’t take yourself too serious, if you go nuts, go full out, right?! Just please don’t make me fall asleep! If you go smooth – make my heart beat faster, if you go goofy – make my laugh, if you have to turn me on – lots of ways to do that. but make it sexy! Raunchy, sexy, a little naughty and smart – did i just describe myself?

Can I take this second to talk about Strawberries?! If I would write a song, it would probably be about strawberries. Actually fruit in general! All the deliciousness, the sensuality in them, sweet aphrodisiac of the gods! Juicy, sweet, tart, slightly sour fruits, I like em all…but strawberries – the way to my heart.

Short background:
Hello my dear sexy contestants, I’m a guy from the Netherlands but my roots is from Hongkong. Have been born and raised in the Netherlands and have traveled many times to Asia too search for my identity. But as far as a i know I’m more European then a Asian! Live and work in Amsterdam as a manager of a coffeeshop at the moment.
I’m a head-chef and owner of my restaurant. Have worked the last xx years in many different restaurants, from lunchrooms too Michelin stars kitchens.
People saying lots of times that I’m kind, but that’s just me, can’t help it. I’m a guy who is always willing too help others and try to make peace instead of war. Saying no is always a hard job for me, but I know my weakness and I’m aware of it.
Sport and especially team-sport is really my favorite things to do and to watch.
Now I’m working that much I don’t have many time to do sport, so to keep my condition up to a certain level, I dance as much as I can. Every weekend going out and stay hours on the dance floor!
And gaming! I’m a co-founder of my gaming Guild RiOT, 80 people guild when we started in 2013 and have played like 3 years the same game Guild Wars 2. I’m still running the guild but we shortensit to 25 members so less drama. Next that I’m running it I lead the fights aswell. So that’s a bit about me what I’m doing in daily life. Tell us about your experience with music:
My experience is with music is not special or interesting though. Just a kitchen and shower singer. During my holidays in Hongkong my nephew introduced me to sing karaoke in karaoke bars. And that’s when I starting to sing without being or feeling shy. I really like to sing Cantonese songs but I can’t read so most of the songs I sang in that language are songs that I know the lyrics by remembering it. Dutch songs I like to sing aswell, but don’t know many.
My first contact with smule is 11 months ago, starting to sing a song and being addicted too it. Don’t need to go to a karaoke bar for it hahaha. Sitting at home with a nice drink and a fully charged phone can give me a joyful evening.
I’m glad that I have met a very special person on smule who teaches me and guide me all the time, and I know I’m not a pro and never gonna be one, but that is also not my dream. I enjoy singing and keep it like that. But always space for improvement!
What kind of music are you into?
Ballads, R&B , hip hop, dance, jazz, classics , actually I love music….if it sounds great in my ears I don’t mind if it’s rock or rap.

Name: Aladdin

Short background:
As I told you, my name is Aladdin. I’m currently studying and are soon to be a High School teacher with the subjects Global religions and English. I also work as an assistant to social workers, so I meet with a lot of people. Outside Smule I mostly hang out with my in real life friends when I’m not busy with my school/job. I paint too. Other than that I really enjoy to watch movies with really dark themes. Bloody, nasty and weird horror movies are my fav. Don’t hesitate to tell me about your fav horror movies in PM. Anything made by Tim Burton is a guaranteed success. Both music and movies.
Tell us about your experience with music:
I have been interested in music my whole life, started with humming at 2 years old, began to sing at 3 years. In my teens I began to practice my singing with a vocal teacher for almost 10 years. Now I have been on Smule for 3,5 years. I have a lot of experience with competitions and how to build up a song to it’s best climax. I have a lot of experience with how to lead a group on Smule. Me and Judge Pandan and Redsweden have been leading a group for almost 2,5 years now. I bet you are familiar with TheSweeds. I got a lot of experience with singing and acting in real life too. Been singing at weddings and such. Oh! And this summer I will act and sing as Judas from Jesus Christ Superstar. So my music life is pretty busy at most times. And I enjoy it all.

Short background: For now i’m working with taking care of 2 teenage girls with special needs, been there for 10 years. I’m also running my own business with selling stuff. I have 2 kids, boys, 3 and 6 years old. and I also have 3 dogs that I train professionally. Animals are a big part of my life as well as music.
Tell us about your experience with music:
I been singing my whole life, but was mostly told to shut up, that didn’t stop me anyway, I’m still singing ? I been on Smule for 5 years, I’m the founder of TheSweeds together with Aladdin and Red. I have pretty much experience from different comps on Smule, I really enjoy to compete to evolove my singing, and I think it’s a great way to improve yourself generally. Been a judge in SHV season 1, STS season 2 and Escape season 1.

I started singing before i even could walk.
Music is and was the way to express my feelings. I did some musicals and when i started high school i did compete in a singing competition, and i won.
I have some studio experience and so now and then i’m doing some harms for professional singers.
Really love to sing, spread love and joy all over the world, that why smule is such a great platform!

Well I’m from San Juan, Puerto Rico. I have actually spent most of my life there..I reside now In Tampa Florida…Im currently single (by choice lol) and living with 2 roommates and my dog Dexter. I work customer service aka retail aka hell but if there is one positive from my job is that it thought me how to manage and have some patience in my life. I am very much a family oriented person, I will def put them first against anything. Basically in a couple of words..I consider myself a caring person and a good listener which I believe are the qualities that brought me to this competition and to the judging table. I’m very excited for the opportunity and excited to take this ride with every single one of you.
Tell us about your experience with music:
Like I mention above I grew up surrounded by music. My parents used to do a lot of church theater like Jesus Christ Superstar and Godspell so that is what make me get really involved into music and understand more what it means to me. I only did a bit of theater when I was little but not much afterwards. I’m pretty sure like a lot of you guys music a lot of times has my escape route and I think is the best way to express yourself and tell story. Also I really want to learn how to play piano and I’m getting older so hit me up guys lol.

I am huge fan of anything Rock and Metal music, specially older rock music..I also grew up listening to musicals so Im very familiar and enjoy theater music. I can jam to some pop and ballads as well…I aint scare lol

I have had a strong passion for music and harmonies since I was little! My parents were both in a southern rock band and they would get me up on stage singing before I could even remember! When I turned 18 I was in karaoke venues and I would attend open mic nights as well! I was singing on stage every night some weeks! I eventually made friends with a local band and they would feature me in their set every weekend! I have been a karaoke DJ and I’ve tried out for American Idol and The Voice!
